ICE Barcelona 2027 Registration Opens Ahead of January Event

Registration for ICE Barcelona 2027 is now open, with the gaming industry set to return to Fira Barcelona Gran Via from January 18 to 20. The event will bring together businesses from land-based gaming, digital gambling, lotteries, sports betting, casinos, esports and payments.

The 2027 edition is expected to provide a major meeting point for companies presenting new products and technology while seeking commercial opportunities across the international gaming market. Industry professionals can register through the ICE Gaming website.

WorldGaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter described the event as a central meeting place for the sector, saying: “ICE Barcelona is the only event where the entire gaming value chain meets and where the industry maps out its direction of travel.”

Hunter added that ICE will feature products, technology and solutions intended to help businesses address operational challenges and pursue new commercial opportunities. He said attendees from across the global gaming industry arrive with specific objectives around business development and professional connections.

Hall 7 to Focus on Gaming Technology

ICE Barcelona will also introduce a 17,000-square-metre Hall 7 dedicated to technology, data and fintech. The area will host discussions and presentations covering enterprise technology, AI, payments, compliance, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data and real-time customer engagement.

The event’s “Welcome to the PlayVolution” campaign is being used to promote the 2027 edition. According to the organisers, the campaign reflects the industry’s growing use of technology to connect with players while supporting its social responsibility commitments.

Hunter said the new hall would provide a practical setting for professionals to examine developments and exchange knowledge. He stated: “Our aim is for Hall 7 to be recognised as the ‘go to’ meeting place where attendees can learn from their peers, explore the latest technologies and, most importantly, see the innovations in action.”

The programme will include live demonstrations, case studies and interactive sessions alongside discussions designed to provide practical information for attendees.

World Gaming Week Sets New Attendance Record

The scale of the previous edition provides further context for the 2027 event. World Gaming Week 2026 attracted 62,988 professionals from 162 countries, representing a 5% rise from the 59,939 recorded in 2025.

Audited figures showed that ICE itself welcomed 51,996 visitors, an increase of 4%, while iGB Affiliate recorded 10,992 attendees, up 11%. Combined visitation reached 120,439 visitor days, marking a 9% year-on-year increase.

Spainsupplied the largest national contingent, with 10,209 participants. The United Kingdom followed with 5,999, while Malta recorded 3,187. Cyprus, Ukraine and Poland contributed 2,628, 2,512 and 2,247 attendees respectively. The United States recorded 1,568 participants, followed by Italy with 1,353, Germany with 1,165 and Bulgaria with 1,076.

The figures underline the international reach of World Gaming Week as preparations continue for the January 2027 gathering in Barcelona.
