However, the latest commercials, first and foremost produced in-house, are Betsson’s most aspiring production to date and will originally appear in more than 10 countries in Latin American and Europe.

Establishment of an internal global creative center

Betsson, the flagship brand of the Betsson Group, has not so long ago experienced a notable growth, especially in Latin America, where it also not so long ago officially became the “main sponsor” of the iconic Argentine football club, Boca Juniors. In this regard, speaking about the mentioned marketing concept, CEO of Betsson Group, Jesper Svensson, commented: “As we expand our presence across various markets, we have established an in-house international creative hub. I am really excited to unveil our most ambitious commercial yet, solidifying Betsson as the most exciting brand in the industry.”

Moreover, the essence of this concept emphasizes that “the inherent excitement of betting is more important than fixating solely on winnings.” On that note, Global Brand Director of Betsson, Kay Höök, said: “While we can’t control the excitement of a match or guarantee wins, we can assure our customers that placing a bet, small or big, will amplify the excitement. The plot of the commercials, directed by award-winning director Rodrigo Saavedra (Immigrant), take place in a “dramatically charged setting,” while production of the film is almost identical to the renowned international lifestyle brand. However, even if it is a casino, the commercials tend to emphasize the enthusiasm of betting as a form of entertainment, rather than “the more typical focus on winning moments.”

On that note, Höök further adds: “Our goal is to enhance the entertainment value and intensify the excitement for our customers. While potential winnings remain a possibility, we don’t want the prospect of winning to define our communication. Our message is that when you gamble responsibly, you will enjoy the excitement even if you don’t win.”

Additionally, for the group, this unique international marketing concept represents an important step towards modifying the industry scene and reformulating the core of entertainment via responsible engagement.

With a silhouette that would fit perfectly in the Las Vegas Strip, Wynn Resorts’ newest project for a luxury integrated casino resort continues to steam ahead. The $3.90 billion project will be a first for Wynn in the area, hopefully capitalizing on the growing demand for such services. 

The Project Is Proceeding as Planned

Wynn first announced its plans for a new multibillion-dollar integrated resort (IR) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in January 2022. The world-leading operator chose the artificial Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, which is already a spectacular tourist destination. Its proximity to Dubai was another deciding factor, hopefully drawing in VIP guests from both countries.

So far, the project has progressed without any notable hiccups. Wynn is partnering with local developer Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, a hospitality asset owner, and manager, ensuring compliance with the UAE’s strict regulations and requirements. Derek Sands, a senior manager at the casino giant, took on the role of executive vice president for the upcoming report, showcasing Wynn’s dedication to the project.

In March, Wynn selected ALEC Engineering and Contracting as the main contractor for the construction, demonstrating surprisingly swift progress. The operator is optimistic about the project, relying on the increasing demand for luxury gambling and resort destinations in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. Considering the planned early 2027 launch and significant progress, construction should soon commence.

The Previews Reveal Wynn’s Signature Thoughtful Design

Wynn’s latest updates regarding the ambitious project revealed the first concept images of the planned casino resort. The sleek hotel tower would look right at home on the Las Vegas Strip, promising a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The 1,500 hotel room venue will include an expansive gaming area, spa, entertainment facilities, a luxurious shopping center, and other top-tier amenities.

Wynn CEO Craig Billings lauded the development team’s efforts to deliver a unique beachside resort experience, expressing hope that new and returning customers would benefit from the company’s decades of experience. He noted that the island was the perfect canvas for Wynn’s rich and thoughtful design, hoping it would exceed expectations.

Detroit Metro Times reported that Detroit’s Reef dispensary has launched a novel concept that it believes is the first of its kind in the US – a “cannabis casino.” 

The Reef Pivots to Cannabis Casino Amid Detroit’s Recreational License Delays

The Reef says it did not require any additional legal considerations as customers do not gamble real money. The cannabis casino idea came from a partnership with Jason Kouza of Dort Hwy Dispo, a Flint-area dispensary that came up with the idea and started developing the games used at The Reef.

The Reef, one of the first cannabis dispensaries to open in Detroit, decided to make the pivot to the new concept as adult-use cannabis licenses got held up in Detroit in recent years. 

Due to a city ordinance aimed at providing a boost to Black Detroiters, who were unfairly impacted by the war on drugs, Detroit was one of the final municipalities in Michigan to permit recreational dispensaries. 

However, the implementation of the Detroit social equity plan for cannabis faced legal challenges and was delayed for several years. As a result, the plan did not have the intended positive effect.

The Reef Plans Expansion of Cannabis Casino Concept to Multiple Locations

The Reef’s cannabis casino concept required customers to spend a certain amount of money, and they would receive a ratio of reward points that could be used on the casino games. For example, if customers spent $25, they would get a chance to play one of the games, and if they spent $50, they would get two chances. If customers did not want to play the games immediately, they could accrue points and play a more extended game like blackjack later.

The Reef’s casino promotion is one of many it offers to distinguish itself in the crowded cannabis retail industry in Michigan. The dispensary recently launched its own version of the McDonald’s “Monopoly” game promotion, where customers can win prizes like $100,000 cash, free pot for life, a Caribbean trip for two, or a kit to grow their cannabis plants at home. 

In addition, the dispensary offers other promotions like pull tabs and scratch-off cards. The company plans to expand the cannabis casino concept to its Muskegon Heights location and to open additional dispensaries in Detroit and Hamtramck. The company also plans to hire between 20 to 30 new employees in the coming months.

The Reef’s cannabis casino concept could be a game-changer in the cannabis retail industry. By offering new, innovative ways for customers to engage with the dispensary, The Reef hopes to differentiate itself from competitors and provide a more enjoyable experience for its customers.
