Operators offering sports betting and gambling services across the globe have strict rules when it comes to data protection. The access of senior-level employees is monitored while the protection of intellectual property remains an important priority for developers within the gambling sector.

Now, a new report reveals that an Aristocrat employee is facing legal action over allegedly downloading more than 6,800 files from its services. As announced by the Associated Press, Dinh Toan Tran, a game designer with Aristocrat, is in hot water after the leading gaming operator filed a lawsuit, claiming he downloaded thousands of files.

The alleged incident dates back to December. In its lawsuit, the leading pokies developer claims Tran downloaded more than 6,800 files. With the lawsuit, Aristocrat seeks to recover the files.

During a court hearing last week, the company secured a search order from the Federal Court. Consequently, a property where Tran allegedly resided was searched. During the search, electronic devices such as tablets, laptops and external storage devices were seized.

The Court ordered Tran to provide the details needed to log in while at the same time asking him to reveal his whereabouts. Moreover, Tran was ordered not to delete or discard any documents, files or other intellectual property that may belong to the company. Experts are currently analyzing the information uncovered on the devices that were seized during the search that happened at a property located in western Sydney.

Analysis of the Information from the Seized Devices Continues

Ken Brotherson, is the lawyer representing the employee. He confirmed that his client wasn’t present when the search warrants were executed.

Federal Court Justice Yaseen Shariff explained that Aristocrat had a right to determine whether it was wrong or right about its suspicion of the downloaded files. He explained: “It seems to me everything has been done extremely professionally.”

It is yet to be confirmed if Tran indeed obtained any company files. Currently, it remains unclear what the essence of those files might be. Still, John Hennessy SC, Aristocrat’s barrister, informed the court on Thursday that a specific USB storage device is “the focus of the investigation.” Investigation and analysis of the files obtained during the searches continue.

The legal action comes after in December, Aristocrat announced the launch of its 3rd NFL-themed game, Overtime Cash. The launch reaffirmed the company’s successful relationship with the NFL and further expanded the portfolio of games for fans of the sport.

Moving forward, Play’n GO and MADLORD will work together to bring enhanced experiences for players. The idea behind the tie-up is to create what the companies have described as “elevated immersion” and more entertainment value for Play’n GO’s slot games.

The Sound of Video Slots with MADLORD

MADLORD already has 15 years of expertise and experience in creating music for video slot games, coming up with entire sound design patterns, and implementing audio in a seamless way. This partnership with Play’n GO will allow the company to deliver new and groundbreaking slot games that feel and play entirely differently.

In fact, the partnership sets out to achieve a very ambitious goal by taking on console video game titles directly, the two companies shared in a press release. MADLORD has already developed fantastic sound themes for a number of established games, including Dragon’s Myth, Castle Builder I, and Forsaken Kingdom, among others. Now, this experience will be carried over to Play’n GO’s own outstanding titles and future releases.

Play’n GO is quite the busy manufacturer as well, as the company pushes out 50 new slots a year, with MADLORD now assisting with many of the future releases. The partnership between the two companies focuses on innovation, imagination, and artistry, which are cherished by players as well as the partners.

Building the Sound of the Future

Play’n GO head of audio Walter Scharold welcomed the opportunity to be working with an innovator such as MADLORD describing the company as an entity that has a distinct outside-the-box approach towards slots audio design.

“MADLORD’s unique vision and versatility align perfectly with Play’n GO’s vision to be the best provider of iGaming content in the world,” Scharold. MADLORD commander and founder Jorge De Lellis was similarly excited to have this opportunity and incorporate its emblematic audio patterns, themes, and original bespoke work into Play’n GO’s products.

“This partnership will allow us to unleash our creativity and explore our maddest, most innovative ideas, fueled by our shared burning desire to propel video slot entertainment to new and unprecedented heights,” De Lellis concluded.

One of the world’s leading real-money gaming suppliers and developers of casino content, Design Works Gaming (DWG), has announced it expanded its partnership with the gaming and entertainment industry giant, Rush Street Interactive (RSI). Under the terms of the freshly minted deal, DWG agreed to supply its portfolio of content for RSI’s BetRivers brand in Michigan.

The strategic announcement helps further expand the reach of DWG content. In fact, the recent launch marks the second US state where RSI offers games from the leading iGaming developer. Initially, the duo signed a similar deal for the regulated gambling market in New Jersey.

Now, thanks to the freshly minted partnership extension, BetRivers customers in Michigan will be able to tap into Break the Bounty LuckyTap, 10X Fortune and Double Fancy 7s slot games, which have been integrated with the OpenGaming platform from Light & Wonder. Moreover, the duo confirmed plans to introduce additional titles for players in the state soon.

In addition to the expanded deal with DWG, RSI confirmed a recent senior-level hire. The company revealed it hired the services of Eric Althaus, a casino industry veteran with significant experience, for the role of general manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

The Two Companies Are Delighted to Expand Their Collaboration

DWG’s CEO, Troy Zurawski, shared his excitement about the latest collaboration. He acknowledged that the company’s expectations were surpassed after the initial launch with RSI earlier this year. Zurawski added: “RSI knows their player base inside and out and together we’ve been able to provide casino games we know are going to resonate with their customers keeping them engaged and entertained.” Finally, he said that DWG is excited to see its content reach new customers in Michigan.

Since we first launched with RSI earlier this year, performance has far exceeded our expectations.

Troy Zurawski, CEO of DWG

Richard Schwartz, RSI’s CEO, was also excited about the expanded partnership with DWG. He explained that the content from the leading iGaming developer resonates well with the quality offering the customers of the BetRivers brand are used to. Finally, Schwartz said that the company is thrilled to expand its offering for BetRivers customers in Michigan.
