Soft2Bet was able to notch up a 46% year-over-year growth in group revenue for its full financial year 2023, spurred by the arrival of the Motivation Engineering Gamification Application gamification product.

Gamification Takes the Biscuit for Soft2Bet in 2023

Both the company’s B2B and B2C results stood tall during the surveyed period, with financial results marking record gains for the group as a whole, and even prompting Soft2Bet to adjust KPIs to reflect the strong growth period.

Another milestone to appear on the financial books was the 207% rise in company EBITDA compared to the previous period in 2022. MEGA alone accounted for a 60% contribution to gross gaming revenue and has been a clear winner for the company from the very start, but the product has been similarly good for Soft2Bet’s partners.

The success of the MEGA product was hailed by company CEO Uri Poliavich who said that his company is poised to continue to deliver on this and better results throughout 2024. “We are already developing partnerships with new and old friends, expanding into North America, and delivering more game-changing solutions for our partners this year,” Poliavich explained, setting the objectives for the new year.

According to the company’s financial report, partners similarly reported a 70% jump in average revenue per player, giving them a strong incentive to continue collaborating with Soft2Bet and helping the company step into 2024 on a much stronger foothold.

In light of those results, Soft2Bet will continue to seek to improve and expand on its MEGA product which has proven a raging success both commercially and privately. Yet, Soft2Bet wants to further enhance the core platform and help it secure even stronger positions.

Leveraging Technology, Pushing into New Markets

One of the ideas Soft2Bet is naturally exploring is the further integration of Artificial Intelligence and other technological solutions into the solution’s bedrock.

Although iGaming took the biscuit for the company, it similarly recorded gains in sports betting supply operations, with the company successfully reaping bounty in Italy, Romania, Greece, and Sweden among others. Sports betting operations jumped by 300% for the company.

All the while, the company is preparing for a more serious push into the North American market, especially now that close to 40 states regulate sports betting and iGaming has just become legal in Rhode Island. Yet, the company is preparing to push further, including in places such as Ontario, Canada, and Mexico.

Soft2Bet, the powerful international supplier of platforms for online casinos and sports betting websites, has decided to detail its strategy regarding gamification features as a key component of the iGaming industry.

Yoel Zuckerberg, Chief Product Officer at Soft2Bet, described gamification as “more than a “nice-to-have” item for iGaming companies, the executive explained that gamification “drives substantial revenues and enables iGaming companies to keep up with technological advances.”

Soft2Bet, a company that also owns and operates ten different online gaming and betting brands, revealed that gamification has been a priority for them “from day one.” The company calls it “Motivational Engineering” and explains that technology is a key component which drives growth in the iGaming industry.

The supplier also revealed that legacy platforms which lack innovation could cause the industry to fall behind. To prove its claims, Soft2Bet gave the example of Betinia, its own brand that operates in Denmark and Sweden, two very competitive markets that also require strong regulatory compliance.

During the past twelve months Betinia recorded an increase in gross gaming revenue of 65 percent when compared to non-gamified brands. Moreover, the features adoption rate was 60 percent, demonstrating a strong engagement from players.

Soft2Bet also revealed that almost half of the players who engaged with the gamification features ended up depositing bigger amounts of money and also deposited with a frequency that was 30 percent higher.

Other key metrics also revealed improvements: average revenue per user went up by 70 percent for half of those who engaged with the gamification features, while the gross gaming revenue increased by more than 60 percent compared to those who did not engage with the features.

At the head of the month, Soft2Bet announced it obtained a Business-to-Business license for Sweden, which it added to its previously obtained Business-to-Consumer license. 

Now, two weeks later, Soft2Bet has announced it was granted an important betting and gaming license for the Greek market. 

The Hellenic Gaming Commission’s Gaming Supervision and Control Commission was the one that awarded Soft2Bet with a pair of seven-year licenses for casino games and betting events in Greece.

Soft2Bet Makes Debut on Revived Greek Gaming Market

From 2021 onwards, the gaming market in Greece has gone through some spectacular changes, coming back to life and opening its doors to fresh operators like Gaming Corps, Spinome, Relax Gaming, and Slotegrator. 

Now, it is time for Soft2Bet to make its entrance and debut here with its state-of-the-art products. Speaking about the new license, group general counsel David Yatom called it a “terrific step forward” for the company.  

Yatom added that the new remote licenses for casino gaming and sports betting were regarded as a springboard for additional expansion on “further regulated markets across Europe and around the globe”.

The same group general counsel also called the latest licensing success a critical step that was taken in the right direction for Soft2Bet. Soft2Bet already holds a license in Spain, Ireland, and Denmark, with the latter obtained at the start of the year. 

Greece, a Market of “Particular Interest” for Soft2Bet

The company further explained its excitement to be joining the Greek market, calling it one that has “been of particular interest” to the provider and operator group since 2021. 

One year ago, the Greek government decided to increase the €2 ($2.14) cap on online wagers along with increasing the maximum value of slots Jackpots.

Soft2Bet expects the freshly obtained certifications to be proof of the hard efforts work that its legal and compliance departments have put in to stay fully compliant with different regulatory requirements. 

While continuing to issue licenses to brands that it trusts, the Hellenic Gaming Commission is also interested in promoting a safe gaming environment for domestic players. Accordingly, it introduced an anonymous tip line allowing people to report illegal gambling websites and unauthorized forms of advertisements. 

This comes to prove the Greek market’s interest in fully acknowledging, revealing, and preventing the risks and harms related to the black gambling market.
