RubyPlay Expands Gameplay Tools With Missions Feature

RubyPlay-launches-first-of-its-kind-in-game-Engagement-Tools-coverRubyPlay has introduced a new set of player engagement features designed to integrate directly into gameplay across its slot portfolio. The supplier’s new Engagement Tools suite launches with two mechanics, Missions and Tournaments, both developed to connect player activity to in-game events rather than external promotional systems.

The company said the tools are intended to support higher retention, deeper gameplay sessions and increased player activity for operators using its content ecosystem. RubyPlay also stated that the rollout marks a change in how engagement systems are structured within its games, moving away from broader wallet-focused mechanics that remain common across the market.

According to the supplier, the new tools are embedded into gameplay itself and tied to events players already encounter during slot sessions.

RubyPlay Introduces Gameplay-Based Missions and Tournaments

The Missions feature allows operators to create campaigns linked to objectives inside individual games. Players complete tasks connected to gameplay events and receive instant rewards once those conditions are met.

Examples provided by RubyPlay include activating features or landing certain symbol combinations during play. The company positioned the mechanic as a game-level engagement tool instead of a platform-wide promotion tied to deposit or wallet activity.

Tournaments add a competitive structure built around timed events. Players collect points through gameplay actions such as feature triggers or high-value symbol landings, with rankings generated through in-game leaderboards.

Both systems were created as native gameplay elements rather than overlays placed on top of existing slot products. This approach aims to make the player experience more intuitive by focusing engagement around moments already familiar within slot gameplay.

The supplier also noted that the tools were developed specifically to move beyond broader behavioural engagement systems widely used in the sector.

Tsachi Maimon, chief executive officer at RubyPlay, said: “When we developed our Engagement Tools, the goal was not to add another promotional layer on top of the game. The goal was to strengthen the game itself.

“Most engagement mechanics in the market are built around wallet activity or broad player behaviour. We wanted to take a different approach by building Missions and Tournaments around real in-game events, the moments players already connect with during the slot experience.

“That creates a more relevant and intuitive journey for players, while giving operators a powerful way to support longer sessions, stronger retention and deeper engagement across RubyPlay’s full content ecosystem.”

Features Roll Out Across RubyPlay’s Studio Network

RubyPlay confirmed that the Engagement Tools suite will become available throughout its wider multi-studio portfolio. The rollout includes titles developed by RubyPlay Studio, Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots and Firerose.

The supplier described the setup as a scalable metagame layer spanning its proprietary content catalogue. Operators using games from different studios within the ecosystem will still be able to apply the same engagement mechanics consistently across multiple titles.

The launch comes during a period of expansion for RubyPlay’s broader studio structure and regulated market presence. In April 2026, the company added Firerose to its network, a studio focused on creating bespoke content for operators. Superbet was among the first operators to deploy games developed through the studio.

RubyPlay has also continued expanding in regulated markets. The supplier recently entered West Virginia, marking its third regulated US state market. Alongside its US growth, the company currently holds licences in Malta and Romania and maintains certifications in additional jurisdictions.

Early Testing Shows Retention and Session Growth

RubyPlay stated that early testing of the Engagement Tools suite produced positive initial results. According to the company, operators recorded measurable improvements in session depth, player activation and return visits during the testing phase.

The supplier did not disclose specific data, market performance figures or the identities of operator partners involved in the early rollout.

Industry-wide, gamification mechanics continue gaining traction among suppliers and operators seeking additional retention tools integrated directly into gameplay experiences. RubyPlay’s latest release places its focus on gameplay-triggered progression systems connected to events occurring inside slot sessions themselves.
